Description: Created by Executive Order No. 4, signed by Governor Bev Perdue on her first day in office, NC OpenBook is part of her effort to bring more transparency and accountability to state government in North Carolina. Government information should be available to everyone. North Carolinians have a right to know how their government is operating, and NC OpenBook is intended to save taxpayer dollars by shining more light on government contracts, grants and assistance programs.
