URL: http://www.colleges.unimelb.edu.au/

Description: The University of Melbourne is a world class university, attracting top students from Australia and the world. Many of its students must move away from home in order to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity. Accommodation options abound. If, however, you are looking for a holistic education experience, then you can do no better than apply to one of the University of Melbourne's residential Colleges. The Colleges provide academic, sporting and cultural programmes that turn your education into an all-round experience. Colleges choose residents that reflect the academic and cultural diversity of the university. Therefore, you will live among other students from all over Australia and the world who are doing a variety of courses. In the global world of the twenty-first century, the ability to move comfortably between disciplines and cultures is a great advantage. All Colleges provide a supportive atmosphere. Pastoral care is a priority. From the first day you arrive in your new community other students, tutors, and staff will help you adapt to this new chapter in your life. Far from being a number in a large lecture theatre, you will most likely go to class on your first day with another College student. We believe Colleges enrich your education academically, socially, and culturally. It is our task to make your educational experience as fulfilling as possible. We believe we can best help you make the transition to university life and help you develop as a person.
