Description: Janet Clarke Hall is a leading academic College, offering a highly supportive and intellectually stimulating environment for students. Students live within a beautiful, heritage-listed building which has a range of state-of-the-art facilities. Among the first institutions of its kind in the world to accept women students into residence, and fully coeducational for nearly forty years, the College has long stood for equality of access and opportunity, for women and for men, in a full and rewarding university education. As a community of 92 resident students and 12 resident staff, JCH is well placed to support and encourage students in their professional and personal formation, offering strong academic and pastoral support. JCH students blend academic success with a rich cultural, sporting and social life. There is full opportunity for participation in the arts, a wide range of sports, drama, debating, and a social calendar including balls, dinners, and parties. Academic and community service scholarships of between $1,500 and $7,000 are awarded by the College, and confidential financial assistance may be offered on the basis of need. Janet Clarke Hall is an Anglican College welcoming people of all faiths. We welcome and encourage exploration of religious, cultural and spiritual values.
