Description: In English. Human rights coalition with 35 partner organizations and offices in Nepal, Pakistan, and India. Formed in 1990, SAFHR promotes respect for universal values of human rights, the interdependence of rights and the indivisibility of rights. Some of its core concerns of the human rights and peace agenda are displacement of indigenous peoples and minorities, refugees and migrants, impunity, inter-state and intra-state conflicts and peace accords, militarization and the strengthening of peace constituencies in civil society. It works with two particular constituencies - women and the media- to strengthen their peace and human rights building capacities.
