Description: This article discusses the industrial production of urea (also known as carbamide) as a byproduct of the natural gas industry in Bolivia and Brazil. Urea is a compound that is in heavy demand in the "Mining Triangle" in Minas Gerais, Brazil. The author explains that Bolivia lost an opportunity to export industrial urea to Brazil, as Brazil is now in the process of developing its own plants to produce the compound from natural gas exported from Bolivia.
