Description: This report focuses on the proposed Project of the Paraguay-Paraná, a strategy to use the Paraguay and Parana Rivers for the transport of soy, iron, and fuel. The Intergovernmental Committee of the Waterway (CIH) - which includes the governments of Bolivia, Uruguay, Paraguay, Argentina, and Brazil - hopes to lower the cost of transport of these goods through the use of waterway transportation. This report looks at the impact such a strategy will have on the local environment and local communities. Report in Spanish. 20 pages.
