Description: The roots of Episcopal Churches, together known as the Parish of Calvary – St. George’s, date back to 1749 when Trinity Church established the Chapel of St. George’s on Beekman Street in Lower Manhattan. The two churches that stand today and still offer Sunday services were built in the early-mid 19th Century. Both churches are located in the NYC neighborhood of Gramercy Park.
