Description: Following a conservation effort, the historic Soul Pole is returned to the Douglass-Truth Branch of The Seattle Public Library. Community members gather to celebrate the sculpture's return, honor its history and importance to the community, and discuss the conservation process. Speakers include: Tom Fay, The Seattle Public Library Adiam Emery, Chief Equity Officer, City of Seattle Stephanie Johnson-Toliver, Black Heritage Society of Washington State Elijah Mu'ied, poet, performance artist, and son of Raqib Mu'ied (formerly Gregory X), who led the Soul Pole project as art director for the Seattle Rotary Boys Club Debra Gulley-Collins, daughter of Wilson Gulley, Sr., executive director of the Rotary Boys Club from 1968-1971 and visionary for Rotary Boys Club programs
