Description: The Virginia Department of Rehabilitative Services was eliminated by the Virginia General Assembly effective 1 July 2012. The agency's responsibilities were transferred to a new state agency, Virginia Department for Aging and Rehabilitative Services. The Virginia Department for Aging and Rehabilitative Services, in collaboration with community partners, provides and advocates for resources and services to improve the employment, quality of life, security, and independence of older Virginians, Virginians with disabilities, and their families. In 2022, the URL for this site changed from https://www.vadrs.org/ to https://www.dars.virginia.gov/
