Description: Johns Hopkins University Quiddich is a club sports team. Quidditch is a fast paced game, similar to the game played in the Harry Potter books, but with some obvious alterations. The team is split into two different sub-teams to accommodate the differing commitments and play intensity of members of the group: the varsity team, which competes in official USQ tournaments and has multiple weekly practices, and the recreation (also known as rec) team, which has practice for fun once a week. Members can play on recreation, varsity, or both if they desire, although the commitment for varsity is higher than recreation.

Description: Shakti is Johns Hopkins University's competitive classical Indian dance team. Shakti was started in 2003 by a group of interested students that came together to keep their culture alive through classical dance. The members of Shakti, each unique in their own way, bring to the table a variety of classical dance styles and different levels of experience. The dancers utilize traditional steps mixed with fast-tempo beats. Every year, Shakti travels around the country representing Johns Hopkins University in multiple dance competitions. The piece that they perform is choreographed solely by the members of Shakti.
