Description: The Choral Society at Johns Hopkins is a non-auditioned chorus founded by Woodrow Wilson and his peers in 1883, whose focus is large-scale choral works, usually from the Baroque or Classical periods. The chorus welcomes singers of all ranges and experience levels, including students, faculty, staff, and community members. ECCO, JHU’s auditioned chamber choir, is a subset of the Choral Society open only to JHU students. ECCO performs a more difficult and varied repertoire, and participates in more performances per year.
