Food Security project encompass rainwater harvesting technologies and water management techniques for local farmers. Water and sanitation workshops include participatory health and hygiene education, and water testing to ensure water used by beneficiaries are free from bacteria and chemicals.

The ERHA is a member of the Greater Horn of Africa Rainwater Partnership (GHARP) and five additional rainwater networks.

Description: The Greater Horn of Africa Rainwater Partnership (GHARP) was established in March 2001 as a network of National Rainwater Associations and regional partnerships based in countries in the horn of Africa; the primary goal of this partnership is to promote research and sustainable technologies for achieving water supply, food security, and poverty reduction and promoting rainwater harvesting and management systems. The consortium of national associations under this umbrella organization include: the Ethiopia Rainwater Harvesting Association (ERHA), Kenya Rainwater Association (KRA), Rainwater Association of Somalia (RAAS), Rainwater Harvesting Association of Tanzania (RHAT), and Uganda Rainwater Association (URWA).
