Description: Welcome to the Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering at the University of Arkansas. Our department resides in the UA Division of Agriculture and UA Colleges of Engineering and Dale Bumpers College of Agricultural, Food and Life Sciences. The department was established in 1920 to support other disciplines in the College of Agriculture, with the professional engineering program offered in 1949. The program was accredited in 1958 and has retained that status ever since. The Department celebrated the 50th anniversary of its first graduate in 1950 on May 11, 2000. We are continually striving to improve our academic programs and refocusing our research and service functions, and have a great partner team in our extension Biological and Agricultural Engineers.

Description: The Department of Electrical Engineering at the University of Arkansas was established in 1897. It has been continuously accredited since 1936. We were the very first electrical engineerign department in the United States to be reviewed and accredited under ABET criteria 2000. The accreditation was last reviewed and renewed in the fall of 2008. The department offers B.S., M.S., & Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering. As of Fall 2010, the department has 178 undergraduate students, 31 M.S. students, & 58 Ph.D. students. The department's 19 tenure and tenure-track faculty received a total of $5,495,125 in research grants from industry and government during fiscal year 2010.

Description: The Department of Electrical Engineering at the University of Arkansas was established in 1897. It has been continuously accredited since 1936. We were the very first electrical engineerign department in the United States to be reviewed and accredited under ABET criteria 2000. The accreditation was last reviewed and renewed in the fall of 2008. The department offers B.S., M.S., & Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering. As of Fall 2010, the department has 178 undergraduate students, 31 M.S. students, & 58 Ph.D. students. The department's 19 tenure and tenure-track faculty received a total of $5,495,125 in research grants from industry and government during fiscal year 2010.

Description: The First-Year Engineering Program is designed to help first year students build a solid foundation for their engineering education. All new students take a common set of classes, which includes an introduction to engineering class. This class will help students get to know all the different engineering fields, and choose a major that is right for them. FEP is more than just a set of classes. It also provides orientation, peer mentoring, tutoring and supplemental instruction, academic advising, basic career advising, and academic skills development. Additionally, the First-year Engineering Center has computer labs as well as areas for tutoring, study groups and mentoring. Finally, FEP provides lots of social opportunities for students. Take advantage of the First-year Engineering Center, it is a great place to hang out and catch up with other students.
