Description: According to the National Invasive Species Monitoring Plan, an invasive species is an alien species whose introduction causes or is likely to cause economic or environmental harm or harm to human health. The spread of invasive species is a pervasive and growing problem within Delaware and the United States. The Delaware Invasive Species Council, Inc. (DISC) was formed to help Delaware deal with this rapidly growing problem.
