This collection contains blogs once authored, but no longer maintained, by various units across the University of Chicago Library. This includes Scope Notes, a blog by the Special Collections Research Center (2008-2016); Maroon Opinions, a blog by John Kimbrough, who served as Assistant to the Director and Reference Librarian, which responded to questions and comments about the Library (2005-2014); Up2Date (2008-2012) and The Class Librarians (2010-2012) containing information about Library services and resources; and the D'Angelo Law Library Blog (2008-2011). This collection also contains a Library webpage about a one-day conference remembering the past and planning for the future of the Library hosted by the University of Chicago Library and the Provost's office in November 2005. Speakers presented historical and current library perspectives and addressed issues of architectural and information-technology trends in research libraries.
