Description: The Second Injury Fund provided benefits and support to employers and employees in regards to Workers' Compensation insurance and claims. The Second Injury Fund was terminated in July of 2013 and its residual obligations were primarily transferred to the Budget and Control Board under the Insurance Reserve Fund Division. South Carolina Restructuring Act of 2014 (Act 121) abolished the Budget and Control Board. Effective July 1, 2015, the Insurance Reserve Fund-Second Injury Fund Operations has been transferred to the State Fiscal Accountability Authority.
