Description: Jewish Family and Children's Service (JFCS) of Greater Philadelphia was established in 1983 from the merger of the Association for Jewish Children and the Jewish Family Service. JFCS’ mission is “to strengthen families and individuals across generations and cultures to achieve stability, independence and community by offering a diverse array of services to help children, adults, seniors, and families cope with challenges that arise throughout the lifecycle." Website content changes over time, but JFCS' website has included detailed program descriptions and contact information for the broad range of social services it provides including counseling, domestic violence support, hospice support, adult special needs programming, and child welfare including adoption.
