Description: A collection of interviews conducted with African American residents of Lawrence and Douglas County, Kansas. Interviews were conducted over the course of 28 years, initially by Curtis Nether and Linda Poindexter and in subsequent years by the Lawrence-Douglas County African American Oral History Project under the leadership of Alice Fowler, Leonard Monroe, and Marla Jackson.
