Description: The University of Melbourne eScholarship Research Centre (eSRC) was formed in 2007 to continue the cultural informatic research undertaken by the Australian Science Archives Project (1985-1999) and its successor the Australian Science and Technology Heritage Centre (1999-2006). The eSRC is a research centre in Information Services – an academic Centre outside the Faculty structure aimed at facilitating interdisciplinary, intra-institutional and inter-organisational collaboration. The Centre's strengths are in cultural informatics, archives, data preservation and sustainable information systems for research.

Description: The Centre for Palliative Care Education & Research (the Centre) is part of St. Vincent’s Hospital and has an Advisory Committee. It is affiliated with The University of Melbourne through the Department of Medicine at St Vincent’s and the School of Nursing and Social Work. The Centre for Palliative Care (the Centre) was established in 1996 to increase the quality of palliative care being provided to the community through research and education. The Centre is a department of St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne and a Collaborative Centre of The University of Melbourne. These strategic clinical and education relationships ensure we are well positioned to undertake essential research and provide a range of quality palliative care education options to health practitioners. We play a key role in developing and delivering training and education programs for health services and health professionals from a variety of disciplines. Our extensive program of research activities is funded through a combination of Victorian and Australian Government agencies, other funding bodies, and generous donations from the community.
