Description: For us, Reproductive Justice is the human right to control our bodies, our sexuality, our gender, our work and our reproduction. That right can only be achieved when all women and girls have the complete economic, social, and political power and resources to make healthy decisions about our bodies, our families, and our communities in all areas of our lives. It is this vision that propels this new initiative. In Our Own Voice: National Black Women’s Reproductive Justice Agenda will focus on abortion rights and access, contraceptive equity and comprehensive sex education as our key policy issues.

American Life League is a 501©(3) organization committed to the protection of all innocent human beings from the moment of creation to natural death, ALL is rooted in pro-life integrity that stands up for every innocent human being whose life is threatened by what Pope Saint John Paul II called “the culture of death.” That ranges from the single cell human embryo to the elderly, the infirm and others at risk of having their life terminated by acts of euthanasia. The pro-life position notes that neither abortion nor euthanasia can ever be medically necessary or morally permitted.

Description: Nuestro Texas is a human rights campaign calling for reproductive health access for all women, without distinction as to geographic location, ethnicity, race, economic class, or citizen status. It is a response to policies passed by the Texas legislature in 2011 that devastated the reproductive health safety net of Texas—a decades-old system enabling millions of low-income Texas women to exercise their rights to health services and information. These polices, including severe funding cuts to family planning services and regulations limiting certain reproductive health providers from operating, have jeopardized women’s rights to health, life, autonomy, equality and freedom from ill treatment.

Description: Operation Save America unashamedly takes up the cause of preborn children in the name of Jesus Christ. We employ only biblical principles. The Bible is our foundation; the Cross of Christ is our strategy; the repentance of the Church of Jesus Christ is our ultimate goal. As the Church changes its heart toward unborn children, God Himself will hear from heaven, forgive our sin, and bring healing to our land. We believe that Jesus Christ is the only answer to the abortion holocaust. It is upon our active repentance in the streets of our cities that the Gospel is visibly lived out. We become to the church, to our city, and to our nation living parables which rightly represent God’s heart toward His helpless children.

We seek to create an atmosphere where women’s experiences are the center of our thinking; addressing the unique needs of women, increasing awareness and advocacy around policies that impact women’s lives. By approaching HIV/AIDS prevention from a reproductive justice framework, The Afiya Center effectively and realistically strives to decrease new infections among women of color.

Description: Reproductive freedom lies at the heart of the promise of human dignity, self-determination and equality embodied in both the U.S. Constitution and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. The Center works toward the time when that promise is enshrined in law in the United States and throughout the world. We envision a world where every woman is free to decide whether and when to have children; where every woman has access to the best reproductive healthcare available; where every woman can exercise her choices without coercion or discrimination. More simply put, we envision a world where every woman participates with full dignity as an equal member of society.

Description: Repro Rights Zines is a project for empowerment through open resource materials. Utilizing the methods of D.I.Y. as modes for accessibility, Repro Rights Zines encourages everyone our zines resonate with to share & reproduce them without bounds–because information is power, and using your voice to take ownership of the things you care about is a radical act. When people are informed, they are empowered. We currently are distributing the zine for free in NYC, but are working to get it out beyond our city. Help spread the word by printing copies from home, the copy shop, school, your mom’s office etc; and distributing to your local community!

Description: The Institute of Texan Cultures is a cultural experience museum located in downtown San Antonio on the UTSA HemisFair Park Campus, a short walk from the Alamo and the Riverwalk. The 182,000-square-foot complex features 65,000 square feet of interactive exhibits and displays that tell the stories of Texans. The mission of the Institute of Texan Cultures is to engage lifelong learners in the understanding and celebration of Texas cultural heritage. The museum is a component of The University of Texas at San Antonio. The museum aligns its efforts with the strategic initiatives of the University by developing quality, accessible resources for educators and lifelong learners on topics of cultural heritage. It also strives to develop a rich and vibrant culture in the arts and humanities that will expand the community’s awareness and appreciation of Texas through an engaging series of exhibits, programs, and special events. The museum has called downtown San Antonio home since it established residency in the Texas State Exhibits Pavilion built for the 1968 HemisFair celebration. Today, the Institute fulfills its mandate as the state's center for multicultural education by investigating the ethnic and cultural history of the state and presenting the resulting information with a variety of offerings: exhibits, programs, and special events designed to entertain, inspire, and educate; a library focusing on ethnic and cultural history; historical photo collection of more than 3 million images; outreach program to schools and other groups; and teacher-training workshops.
