Collection: Violence as a Public Health Issue web archive
Description: Cure Violence Global was founded by Gary Slutkin, M.D., former heard of the World Health Organization's Intervention Development Unit. CVG’s violence prevention public health methodology applies evidence-based public health epidemic-reversal strategies to detect and prevent potentially violent situations, identify and change the behavior of those most likely to engage in violence, and change group norms that support and perpetuate the use of violence. Cure Violence Global works within communities to achieve their goals and hosts training to provide further support to communities.
