Description: Article titled, "New York Sues Sackler Family Members and Drug Distributors," by Roni Caryn Robin published on the New York TImes on March 28, 2019. The article describes a suit filed in the state of New York aimed at reclaiming funds from the Sackler family that it alleges were transferred from Purdue Pharma to private or offshore accounts in an effort to shield the assets from litigation. The suit also alleges that the Sackler family eliminated a financial paper trail, voted to pay themselves millions through offshore companies, and created a new company to sell opioids during the 2007 federal investigation into Purdue Pharma's actions surounding OxyContin.
