URL: https://news.weill.cornell.edu/news/2020/03/what-you-need-to-know-about-the-coronavirus/

Collection: Medical Center Archives of New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center COVID-19 Web Archive

Description: "For most of the American public, the immediate health risk from the new coronavirus, which causes COVID-19, is considered low. People in communities where ongoing community spread of the virus has been reported are at elevated, though still relatively low, risk of exposure. The virus that causes COVID-19 is thought to travel from person to person through droplets in the air, and from surfaces to people who touch the droplets. While some patients have died, so far it seems that most cases are mild; the elderly and those with certain underlying health conditions, such as heart disease, lung disease and diabetes, are at greater risk of serious illness."
