Collection: Shakespeare Festivals and Theatrical Companies
Description: Operating under the fundamental belief that all human beings are inherently good, the Shakespeare Behind Bars program attempts to bring out this inherent goodness in convicted criminals through performance of Shakespeare plays during their time in incarceration. The program hopes to instill courage and hope to the participating inmates despite the odds against them by stewarding them through the established 9 month process of producing a Shakespeare play.
