In May 2021, brewer Brienne Allan posted a call on her personal Instagram account (handle @ratmagnet) for women to share their stories about experiencing sexism in the beer industry. The Triad COVID-19 Collection documents unique pieces of web content across the Piedmont Triad area of North Carolina in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Web archiving began in May 2020, capturing how the Triad community used and experienced the web throughout the global pandemic. The scope of the collection includes websites, web pages, born-digital documents, and videos created by county government, regional hospitals, K-12 schools, universities, non-profit organizations, community landmarks, and community initiatives. Content captured includes information about the spread of infection, regional containment efforts, modified services and closures, and mask projects.

UNCG Aycock Ad Hoc Committee

Description:

The University of North Carolina Greensboro Aycock Ad Hoc Committee documents the Aycock Ad Hoc Committee's web presence, documentation, and news articles. In September 2014, the Board of Trustees established a committee to review and respond to the statewide concern surrounding buildings named in honor of former Governor Charles B. Aycock (1859-1912). He was known as both the Education Governor, because of his role in helping to create a modern education system in North Carolina, and as one of the architects of the state’s White Supremacy Campaign, which disfranchised black voters.

The University of North Carolina at Greensboro Black Lives Matter Statements Collection documents statements made by administrators and departments on University websites across the University of North Carolina at Greensboro campus in response to nationwide protests against police brutality against the Black community and institutionalized racism and anti-Blackness. These protests took place in wake of the deaths of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and Ahmaud Arbery in May 2020.
