The ultimate aim is to ensure that Harvard remains the leader in teaching and learning innovation. The Vice Provost provides budgetary oversight of HarvardX, the VPAL Research Group, and a number of grants, primarily through the Harvard Initiative for Learning and Teaching. The Future of Teaching and Learning Task Force was formed, in the wake of the significant remote learning required by the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic, to examine and report on how the knowledge gained in that period might be used to improve teaching and learning.
