Description: The Cambodian Association of Greater Philadelphia, the city’s foundation of social, health and education programs for Cambodian refugees and their families, has achieved extraordinary organizational development and growth over the past thirty years. We are the only organization of its kind, specializing in providing innovative and unique bilingual programs and services to meet the combined social, economic, health and educational needs of Cambodians in Philadelphia, many of whom are survivors of the Cambodian genocide or descendants of survivors.

Description: The Vietnam Friendship Village is a residential facility located in Hanoi, Vietnam that provides medical care, physical therapy, education and vocational training to Vietnamese children, young adults and veterans with a range of maladies presumed to be caused by Agent Orange. Through raising support for this “village” in collaboration with other groups based in Vietnam, France, Germany, Japan and Canada, Vietnam Friendship Village Project USA (VFVP-USA) provides opportunities for U.S. citizens to be part of an international community working to heal the wounds of war and create a model of cross-cultural cooperation based on caring, friendship and mutual respect.

Description: Pete Pin is a Cambodian American Brooklyn based photographer and teaching artist. Born in the Khao-I-Dang refugee camp on the border of Cambodia and Thailand following the Cambodian Killing Fields and raised in California, his photography explores themes of memory, generational trauma, and identify in the Cambodian American diaspora community. A High School drop-out, Pin received his BA in Political Science at the University of California at Berkeley where he graduated with high honrs and was awarded the Outstanding Honors Thesis Award and studied documentary photography at the International Center of Photography. His work has been published and featured in the New York Times, TIME, VICE, Anthro Now, and Creative Time Reports, among others.
