Description: Living Well Kent is a community-driven collaborative dedicated to the vision of public spaces and initiatives that encourage healthier lifestyles and better living. It is focused on creating a healthier, more equitable and more sustainable city. LWK’s specific goals include creating community in which all residents thrive, which includes widespread access to healthy and affordable food for all residents, safer streets and public spaces that encourage physical activity, and greater equity and therefore opportunities to achieve full potential. The organization recognizes that its community is ethnically and culturally diverse, and that their work must stay grounded in diverse voices. It also believes that all people and food have a purpose. The website for Living Well Kent provides information about the grassroots organization run by refugees and immigrants in Kent, outside of Seattle. The website provides links to the newsletter, additional community resources, and a gallery of images representing the organizations' work.
