Las Libres is a non-governmental organization based in Guanajuato, Mexico. In 2000, Las Libres formed in response to the state government's attempt to ban abortion for rape victims, the only legal reason a woman may seek an abortion. The bill was not passed and now Las Libres conducts legislative monitoring as well as training youth in the community to become leaders and teachers in sexual health education. Site contains news articles and information on the organization's work.
