La Despedida is an affiliated student organization that was established in 1995 by Latino students of UTSA. These Latino students wanted a graduation ceremony that would reflect who they are by incorporating the three major influences in their lives: familia, raza, y la comunidad. La Despedida is a multicultural and bilingual graduation ceremony that is fun for participants and their families.
