Description: Rutgers Church is a member of the More Light Churches Network whose mission is to work for the full participation of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people of faith in the life, ministry and witness of the Presbyterian Church. Rutgers roots run deep as the first congregation dedicated its sanctuary on the corner of Henry and Rutgers Streets in Lower Manhattan on May 13, 1798. Today, the church is located on the Upper West Side at 273 West 73rd Street between Broadway and West End Avenues.
