Description: Open Data Philly is an open data aggregate and portal that includes over 300 datasets from the City of Philadelphia as well as various non-profit organizations and for-profit organizations in the Philadelphia area. This collection was created because Temple University was awarded a Knight Foundation News Challenge Grant to explore the ways libraries can support preservation and long-term access to open civic data through community information portals by using OpenDataPhilly.org, which is managed by multiple partners, as a testbed. The grant project focused on researching use cases, interviewing stakeholders, testing archiving and preservation prototypes, one of which is Archive-It. This Archive-It collection captures the Open Data Philly website as well as downloadable datasets in various formats. This seed was crawled using Archive-It's new Brozzler crawler.
