Description: Facebook page created and maintained by the University of Texas at San Antonio Mexican American Studies Student Organization. MASSO's mission is to encourage cultural pride, cultural awareness, and community activism among UTSA's Mexican American, Chicana/o, and Latina/o student body, by learning of the social cultural and academic accomplishments of fellow Chicanas/os, Mexicana/os and Latina/os both in the U.S. and other parts of the world.. The organization was formed in an effort to unite the faculty, staff, and students of the Mexican American Studies (MAS) program at UTSA. In addition, MASSO's purpose is to encourage involvement and to expand the Mexican American Studies (MAS) program at UTSA by promoting growth of classes, faculty, and potential MAS majors at UTSA, and in the community.
