Collection: Special Collections in Performing Arts
Description: Archived website of the College Band Directors National Association (CBDNA). CBDNA first formed as a committee of the Music Educators National Conference (MENC), and reorganized as the College Band Directors National Association in 1947. Its stated purpose is to support "the teaching, performance, study and cultivation of music, with particular focus on the wind band medium" ("Statement of Purpose," http://wayback.archive-it.org/4149/20131202214317/http://www.cbdna.org/cgi-bin/about5.pl, archived December 2, 2013). The CBDNA website includes information about its officers, history, constitution, bylaws, statement of purpose, membership, commissions, committees, divisions, publications, CBDNA report, conferences, events, bulletin board, and member services.
