Description: Archived website of Marylanders for Marriage Equality, a campaign encouraging Maryland voters to vote "for" on Maryland Question 6, a statewide question on the 2012 general election ballot asking voters to vote for or against the 2012 Civil Protection Marriage Act, which legalized same-sex marriage in Maryland by "altering a provision of law to establish that only a marriage between two individuals who are not otherwise prohibited from marrying is valid in the State" (Maryland General Assembly House Bill 438, http://mgaleg.maryland.gov/webmga/frmMain.aspx?tab=subject3&ys=2012rs%2fbillfile%2fhb0438.htm, accessed August 7, 2018). The question was added to the ballot via referendum petition and was also known as the "Same-Sex Marriage Referendum."
