The nominee will be selected by an 26 April 2014 Republican convention. Micah Edmond won the Republican nomination. The final results were: Micah Edmond, 51%; Dennis Bartow, 43%; and Paul Haring, 6%. Edmond lost the 4 November 2014 general election. The results were: Beyer (D), 63.08%; Micah Edmond (R), 41.42%; Gwendolyn Beck (Independent), 2.67%; Jeffrey Carson (Libertarian), 2.17%; and Gerry Blais (Independent Green), 0.47%.
