The State Archives and State Library of North Carolina, divisions within the Department of Natural and Cultural Resources, operate with legislative mandates to preserve state government information and make it accessible to the citizens of North Carolina (G.S. 121-2, G.S. 125-11.5 - 11.13, G.S. 132-1b). The North Carolina State Government Web Site Archives and Access Program helps fulfill these mandates by providing archiving, preservation, and access services for websites and social media content produced and maintained by North Carolina state agencies.

Description: Check-It-Out (CIO) is a coordinated effort to loan assistive technology equipment to North Carolinians with disabilities, their families, and their service providers. The goal of this statewide network is to increase accessibility to adaptive devices by linking existing equipment loan programs via the World Wide Web. This site contains a database comprised of the loan inventories from participating programs. This site also contains information on assistive technology, a calendar of NC training events, and links to related web sites.
