Description: Archived website of the Virginia Chief Data Officer (2020-2022). The archived website includes information about the Office of Data Governance and Analytics, data security solutions such as the Commonwealth of Virginia Entity Resolution for Enterprise Data (CoVERED), Data Intelligence-as-a-Solution, Enterprise Data Catalog, and Framework for Addiction Analysis and Community Transformation (FAACT). Other project include: Virginia Datathon, Open Data Portal, DataSAGE, and Commonwealth Data Trust. The website also contains news stories and a newsletter. Passage of Senate Bill 580 in 2020, the Government Data Collection and Dissemination Practices Act, created the Chief Data Officer (CDO) position and tasked the person in the role with establishing data use and privacy guidelines and coordinating data sharing between state agencies. Carlos Rivero served as Chief Data Officer from July 2020 to November 2021. Marcus Thornton was named interim CDO in November 2021.
